Now this is B-A-N-A-N-A-S. The Savannah Bananas just announced their 2025 schedule and this time around the fun-loving franchise is playing at more MLB stadiums than ever before. And, yes, that includes a pair of banana ball contests against The Firefighters at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, Sept.
13 and Sunday, Sept. 14 . Two months before that, the Bananas will take the field at the Red Sox’s Fenway Park on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6 .
Other notable stops on their MLB schedule-like run include Atlanta’s Truist Park (March 29-30), St. Louis’ Busch Stadium (April 4-5), Kansas City’s Kauffman Stadium (May 23-24), Anaheim’s Angel Stadium (May 30-31) and Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park (July 26-27). This schedule release comes on the heels of the Banana Ball Championship League announcement.
“Starting in 2026, the BBCL will have six teams playing a full Banana Ball schedule,” founder Jesse Cole shared via Instagram. “A 60-game season with new marquee events that will determine standings and playoff implications culminating in one league champion.” This year, the league expands to five teams; in years past, they only played the Party Animals and Aussie Dropbears.
In 2025, they’ll go head-to-head against the aforementioned Party Animals as well as the Firefighters, Texas Tailgaters and the Visitors. On Oct. 2-4, two of those teams will meet in the 2025 World Tour Championship Series at Savannah, GA’s Grayson Stadium .
