Thursday, August 22, 2024 The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) to foster collaboration in biodiversity conservation, support marine environmental protection initiatives, and evaluate the effects of coastal tourism on the Red Sea ecosystem. This agreement seeks to harness the expertise and resources of both institutions for mutual advantage. The MoU was formalized by Mr.

Mohammed Al-Nasser, CEO of SRSA, and Dr. Tony Chan, President of KAUST. The partnership is in line with SRSA’s commitment to safeguarding the environment in areas impacted by coastal tourism and emphasizes the development of human capital through specialized training programs aimed at enhancing the skills of national talent within the coastal tourism sector.
