Friday, August 23, 2024 San Antonio International Airport (SAT) has achieved a remarkable milestone, recording its busiest month in history this July. According to recently released airport passenger data, a total of 1,032,610 travelers flew through SAT, surpassing the previous record of 1,000,172 passengers set in July of the previous year. This impressive figure marks a 3% increase in passenger traffic, underscoring SAT’s growing popularity and the robust demand for air travel to and from the San Antonio area.

The record-breaking month highlights SAT’s role as a key travel hub in the region, reflecting the city’s appeal as a vibrant destination for both business and leisure travelers. With ongoing enhancements to airport services and infrastructure, SAT is poised to continue accommodating the growing number of passengers, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable travel experience for all. “We’re continuing to see record-breaking passenger levels at SAT,” said Jesus Saenz, Director of Airports, City of San Antonio Aviation Department.
