Actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu on Wednesday reacted to Telangana Minister Konda Surekha for her remarks about their divorce. The politician has claimed that senior Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader KT Rama Rao was the reason behind their divorce. The statement led to massive backlash from fans as well as other actors from the industry including JR NTR Nani, Khushbu Sundar, and others.

In his statement, the actor said, "Women deserve to be supported," and said that divorce is one of the "most painful and unfortunate life decisions" anyone can make. Talking about the same he further explained, "After a lot of thought, a mutual decision was made by me and my former spouse to part ways. It was a decision made in peace, owing to our different life goals.
" He concluded the statement by saying, "taking advantage and exploiting the personal life decisions of celebrities for the sake of media headlines is shameful". For the unversed, Naga Chaitanya parted ways with Ms Prabhu two years ago. The actor is not engaged to actor Sobhita Dhulipala and set to get married soon.
