Bollywood actor Salman Khan received yet another death threat, with the perpetrators demanding Rs 2 crore ransom, Mumbai police said. According to the threat, which was conveyed to the Mumbai traffic police, the culprits warned that failure to pay would result in the actor's death. The latest threat follows the arrest of Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin, a youth selling vegetables belonging to Jamshedpur.

Mausin was arrested after he sent a threatening message to Mumbai traffic police through their WhatsApp helpline, demanding a hefty ransom of Rs 5 crore. It is worth recalling that Khan had previously faced threats from the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. However, the sender later claimed it was a mistake and sought apology.

On Tuesday, the Mumbai police made another arrest. A 20-year-old man from Noida was taken into custoday for allegedly issuing death threat to Salman Khan and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique. In April, suspected members of the gang fired shots outside the actor's residence in Bandra.

In the wake of the persistent threats, Khan's security measures have been significantly enhanced to provide protection to him from potential harm. The dispute between Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi goes back to an incident in 1998 when the actor was accused of hunting and killing two blackbucks, a species revered by the Bishnoi community..
