Rookie cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry, the team's 2024 econd-round pick, suffered an apparent injury on the game's opening drive when he collided with 49ers receiver Trent Taylor on an incomplete pass.

The Saints medical staff checked out McKinstry in the blue medical tent on the sideline, and after trying to test his injury on the sideline, McKinstry went to the locker room. McKinstry was one of the starting outside corners in the game because the Saints were already playing without Marshon Lattimore (hip flexor) and Paulson Adebo (groin)..
