Sainsbury's customers with a Nectar card have been sent a warning that they have just under two weeks before a major change will take place. The supermarket has confirmed that it will be enforcing new rules regarding how members can earn and spend points with eBay . As of now, customers can earn one Nectar point for every £1 spent on the online auction's website or app.

However, as of September 1, members will find that their Nectar accounts will be 'unlinked' from eBay, and how they earn points will change. However, while accounts will no longer be linked, Sainsbury's has confirmed points collected through eBay will still be available in your Nectar account. Birmingham Live reports that customers can still earn eBay points, but they will need to shop directly through Nectar to do so.

They will also earn two points for £1 spent, which is more than the current one point for ever £1 spent. To still earn and redeem points when the change comes into force next month, you can simply search for eBay on the Nectar app or website. When making a purchase, you can simply click out to the eBay website or app to make your purchase and earn points.
