A glitch at Sainsbury's tills and checkouts across the country means shoppers are getting as much as £80 off. A viral TikTok clip has been circulated via the social media app, with the Sun newspaper picking it up and reporting it this week. One shopper took to X, which was formerly known as Twitter before the Elon Musk takeover two years ago, to boast they had been sent over one of the vouchers adding “by 10pm I’m back in the house with £441 worth of shopping for £6”.
“This whole Sainsbury’s method thing is so annoying because people got greedy and was buying stupidness," another typed. A spokeswoman said: “We have seen an increase in fraudulent coupons in our stores and we have processes in place to detect and block them.
