Reportedly, around 150 police officers were a part of a raid on Jaggi Vasudev, aka Sadhguru’s Isha Foundation ashram in Coimbatore on the directives of the Madras High Court. Dr. S.

Kamraj filed a habeas corpus against the foundation. The HC order ensued after the petitioner’s claim that his two daughters were held captive in the ashram against their will. The Madras HC had earlier rebuked the self-styled guru for promoting hermitage amongst his followers while having his own daughter married off.

The court has also sought reports on all criminal cases registered against the foundation. Meanwhile, the search operation at the foundation is focusing on thorough verification of inmates. Petitioner Kamraj’s daughters submitted that they are staying at the foundation by their own volition.
