Rylan Clark has been hit with a blow with his booze-fuelled reality series reportedly axed after just one series. Amazon Prime Video series Hot Mess Summer will not be returning, it has been claimed, despite fans' positive reviews of the fun-filled programme. The show followed eight individuals jetting off to Zante, Greece , under the pretence they'll be enjoying the summer of their lives.

However, they're soon horrified to find out the summer paradise they were promised isn't actually what it seems as the stars are told they're there to work behind the bar - and Rylan breaks the news that their friends and family have nominated them for the programme as they're sick and tired of their friends' party antics. There is another more positive twist to come. In a wild combination of Geordie Shore's recklessness and Ibiza Weekenders' duties, the party animals learn to organise events, pour drinks, cater to VIPs and even clean toilets in hopes of winning a cash prize of £60,000.

But it seems telly bosses aren't convinced it has a long-term future. A source told The Sun : "Unfortunately, with Rylan's jam-packed schedule and Prime Video's upcoming slate, there aren't plans for another series as it currently stands.” Speaking about what to expect at show at the press at the launch in February, Rylan said: "Something happened at the final where I genuinely got to this point where I looked at this lot like my kids.

Something happens in the final that we’re not going to spoil for peo.
