While having a natter on the programme with co-presenter Josie Gibson and panel member Gyles Brandreth about the recent Paris Olympics and looking forward to the upcoming Paralympic Games, they segued into praising Team GB for their impressive medal haul, reports the Express .
Amidst the conversation, where both Rylan and Gyles couldn't hide their enthusiasm about the sporting achievements, Gyles remarked: "We enjoyed the French experience hugely and we enjoyed all our medals, which is a fantastic achievement." To which Rylan added: "We were third in the medals table, the collective medal table." Then Gyles, considering the monarch's position over various realms, wittily proposed: "If you count the King as the head of state of this country and all the other Commonwealth countries, I think our King Charles as head of state did better than all the others!"
