Ruth Langsford has shown her fans her 'real' hair before undergoing a bit of a makeover. The Loose Women star took to social media as she filmed her latest trip to the salon. Ruth headed to the Leo Bancroft Salon in Weybridge on Thursday (August 15).

The broadcaster could be seen sitting in the hot seat as her stylist Lauren Houghton tended to her locks with the help of Leo himself. In the video, Ruth, 64, showed her 'real' hair after explaining previously that her hair has thinned as a result of the menopause and therefore uses extensions to help add volume to her mousey blonde locks. We've taken them all out - the old ones. This is my hair, okay. So fine, fine [and] quite thin at the end.

That's what's happened in menopause. Not bad on the top but it gets very thin at the ends. So we're gonna add more today.

" Hair extension specialist Laura could then be seen adding long extensions into the TV star's hair before eventually trimming them to match but not as much as usual as she decided to opt for a slightly longer do than usual. In the caption of the post, Ruth wrote: "Extensions time again! [Leo Bancroft] salon. Decided to keep them a bit longer this time (lots of you told me to last time! ) Fitted by the lovely Lauren (you can also book Kristen), cut and styled by Leo.

I'm not good at doing this 'bend.
