Eamonn and Ruth met in 1997 when they were introduced by a mutual friend two years after he split from his wife Gabrielle, with whom he has three children. They welcomed their son Jack in 2002 and dated for over a decade before Eamonn proposed in 2010. They marry the same year at Elvetham Hall in Hampshire.
