Quentin Tarantino has shared his opinions on Alec Baldwin’s role in the shooting tragedy. Legendary filmmaker Quentin Tarantino believes Alec Baldwin is partly to blame for the fatal shooting on the set of Rust in 2021, declaring the embattled actor is “a partner in the responsibility”. Tarantino, 61, made the comments during an appearance on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast on Sunday.

On October 21, 2021, Baldwin had been rehearsing a scene on the set of the Western in Sante Fe, New Mexico when his prop Colt revolver fired a live round, fatally wounding cinematographer Halyna Hutchins , a 42-year-old mother-of-one, and injuring Rust director Joel Souza. Baldwin, who pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter, has denied pulling the trigger and maintained he didn’t know why the gun contained live ammunition. The film’s armourer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who was responsible for the weapons on the set, was in March found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and in April was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
