Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly courted controversy after she and what seems to be her manager were seen riding a bike. The actress was leaving an awards show on Saturday night. In an attempt to ditch the traffic, Rupali chose to leave the venue on a scooter.
Dressed in a grand dress, the actress did not hesitate to sit on the two-wheeler. The person riding has been identified as Kaushal Joshi, who is said to be Shehnaaz Gill’s manager. While she was lauded for her simplicity, many noticed that neither she nor the person riding the bike sported a helmet.
“Why that guy is not wearing a helmet?” a comment under the video featuring the actress and her team member read. “Celebrities don’t need helmet,” another comment read. The actress, who is the face of Anupamaa, won the Best Patni. She also took home the Best Bahu award. She was also reportedly awarded the Best Maa trophy.
The show and Rupali have been in the news after Sudhanshu Pandey, who essayed the role of Vanraj Shah, exited the show. In August, Sudhanshu in an Instagram live announced his exit. He was heard saying that he is “now not a part of ‘Anupamaa’ show and that he is not playing Vanraj Shah.
“I apologise for taking this sudden decision.” After there were rumours about Rupali being responsible for Sudhanshu’s exit, on September 1, the actor cleared the air.
