RTE viewers were full of praise for Saturday night's All-Ireland Football Final preview show, Up For The Match. Hosted by Jacqui Hurley and Des Cahill, the programme brought Galway and Armagh fans together to share their excitement in the run-up to Sunday's final, where one team will get to lift the Sam Maguire Cup . Marty Morrissey joined crowds gathered live in Armagh, while Today Show fans were thrilled to see Maura Derrane act as roving reporter in her native Galway.

"Maura was fantastic reporting from Galway she is the 'Galway Girl'," one fan wrote on social media. Well done Maura.

"Looking great enjoyed the show," a second added. A third fan wrote: "Looking good Maura, enjoyed the show," while a fourth commented: "You done the business Maura". The show also featured panel discussions from GAA experts as well as live music from Susan McCann, The High Stool Prophets and Marty Mone.

As well as that, there was a touching tribute to the late John O'Mahony. The iconic GAA figure passed away on July 6th of this year, and is remembered for his amazing contribution to GAA in Connacht, having played for three .
