RTE star Sinead Kennedy has returned to a popular daytime show after ten months off air. The TV presenter was delighted to reunite with her co-host Daithi O Se for a brand new season of RTE 's hit afternoon show Today . Sinead headed on maternity leave last November, before welcoming her second child Theo into the world.

The 40-year-old, already mum to three-year-old daughter Indie with husband Conor Kirwan, spent some time in Belgium where Conor is stationed with the European Defence Agency, to spend her maternity leave together. Returning this evening for the first episode of the new season, the mum-of-two stepped out in a fabulous blue glittery maxi dress. Sinead was beaming as she made her way back on air alongside Daithi.

Opening the show, Daithi said: "Hello and welcome back to all our wonderful viewers out there. "This is the first show of season thirteen and we are raring to go." Sinead then added: "We're excited for the show, for what we have in store.

Loads of brand new things happening this season." Daithi said: "We have a lot of our favourites back as well," and Sinead was quick to respond, "Including me". Daithi then joked: "Yeah, you've been missing for a while.

" And Sinead added: "Missing - just a little bit busy." Daithi then asked the host: "Why were you so busy? I don't get why you were so busy." The mum-of-two explained: "Because I went on maternity leave.

I was away for the summer, I was over back in Belgium for the last year actually." A sweet picture of .
