THE Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) Police Band (PB) rocked the crowd in Auki during the 41 Second Appointed Day anniversary of Malaita Province on Thursday with their entertaining display. Police band officers performed a number of items that moved the crowd and the visiting high-level visiting delegation from Honiara. Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province, Chief Superintendent Tex Tafoa said; “Police in Auki and Auki Correctional Service Officers mounted a parade during the official program for high-level dignitaries and diplomatic corps.

” PPC Tafoa said, “for the Guard of Honor, Honourable Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele and the Honourable Premier of Malaita Province were invited to the dais during the parade for the general salute, parade inspection and match pass.” PPC Tafoa said, he was happy with the performance of the police band, which was a highlight of the 41 Second Appointed Day celebration. On the security, he said he was overwhelmed by the good behaviour shown during the program, adding that even though the weather was not good in the morning, the program concluded successfully.
