Thursday, July 18, 2024 Royal Caribbean International, along with GRAMMY-winning singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor, celebrated the launch of Utopia of the Seas with a grand summer bash in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida. As the godmother of this new vacation ship, Trainor presided over the official naming ceremony aboard the vessel, joined by over 4,000 revelers, including the legendary Rev Run and DJ Ruckus, Royal Caribbean crew members, and executives. This event, held just days before Utopia’s inaugural voyage on Friday, July 19, marked the beginning of its 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday getaways.

Meghan Trainor, famous for her hit “All About That Bass,” took center stage at the ship’s iconic open-air AquaTheater to bless the vessel, its crew, and the countless guests who will experience Utopia in the years to come. The celebration reached its peak with a live performance by Trainor, attended by over 50 lucky fans selected from more than 20,000 entrants. This Monday event kicked off a 3-night celebration cruise featuring non-stop parties, including a special live concert hosted by Trainor at Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.
