This week, Ron's daughter Kirsten shared the news of her father's passing due to natural causes on Instagram , where she also paid a touching tribute to the Hollywood star. In her heartfelt post, she wrote: "The world has lost one of the greatest men it has ever known - and I have lost my dad.

He was stoic and sensitive. He was dynamic and powerful. He was my role model and inspiration.
" Kirsten also told her followers that she is doing her "best to walk this path of loss with the strength and grace" as her father would've wanted for her. She concluded: "My greatest comfort is knowing that my dad is with my momma and my brother. It is also my greatest sadness because I miss them all so much that it's etched into my soul.
" Ron is best known for his iconic portrayal of Tarzan in the 1966–1968 NBC series, where he reprised the role of the beloved Disney .
