The couple found love after being signed up for the dating show by their children – Roger’s daughter Jess, 29, and Janey’s son William, 20. Janey had experienced years of failed relationships, while Roger’s wife Joanne died from cancer 18 months before the show.

In a new Instagram video the pair advertised the new series and spoke about their journey on the show. Roger started the video off by saying: “As you know Janey and I met a year ago now on My Mum Your Dad..

.” as Janey chimed in: “..

.and what a year it has been.” The pair continued: “It's gonna be so strange seeing the house again, people in our house.

That house has got such wonderful memories for us and let’s hope it creates some wonderful memories for the new people going in.” Roger jokingly said: “Us being experts, which we are, we will be watching and picking out who we think will be together from the first episode.” Janey ended the video with a sweet message saying: “Let’s hope there are some romances and lovely friendships too.
