Sir Rod Stewart has hinted he may need to "find a new owner" for his cars due to a desperate issue near his Essex home. The legendary rocker, 79, revealed the reason why he has decided it's time to sell some cars from his classic collection. The Maggie May singer explained that the state of the roads is a nightmare, and he is unable to drive his hybrid sports cars.

Rod said he is now fearful that the number of potholes on the road could damage his beloved motors. Taking to Instagram , the dad-of-eight stood in front of his incredible car collection and shared his woes with his 1.4 million followers.

He penned: "I am extremely fortunate and eternally grateful to be the owner of these five beautiful hybrid sports cars, which, in my opinion, are true ‘works of art.’ Unfortunately, because of the potholes on our roads, I may have to find new owners for them. I’ve been driving these iconic Italian cars since the seventies, and I absolutely love and adore them.

" The crooner added: "This post is for my fans—thank you, as you are the sole reason I own them. And to all the trolls..

. don’t bother; I never read the comments," before signing off with "Sir Rod". Fans flocked to his comment section and urged him not to sell as one wrote: "Hard work pays off!!" Another added: "One cool dude.

.. don’t sell, that's you and your style, you wear it well".

While a third commented: "You deserve the beautiful life you’ve created!" A fourth posted: "Good for you, Rod! They're amazing!".
