Robin Williams ' daughter is over false information being spread about her father. Zelda Williams took to social media to shut down a post that was circulating which accused her father of owning a monkey when he was alive. An account on X, formerly known as Twitter , called Time Capsule Tales wrote: “Robin Williams: One of the last photos of a gem of a man, with his pet monkey , taken a few days before he committed suicide by hanging at the age of 63.

" However, Zelda said this simply wasn't true at all. She was quick to clap back and say that it was all fabricated. She responded: “It’s been brought to my attention some probably AI written BS like this is going viral.

Dad didn’t own a pet monkey, NO ONE should, and if you’re ever tempted to, support your local exotic animal rescues instead." While, according to Zelda, the accusation that he owned a monkey is wrong, the picture was very much real. As she went on to explain, it was a snap of Robin with the monkey he worked on set with on Night at the Museum where the late actor played a reawakened Theodore Roosevelt.

However, the monkey lives at a museum once again, Zelda explained. Another photo exists of Robin from the set where he is proudly wearing his costume, holding the monkey in his lap. “Nor is that his pet monkey, which was what I was correcting first and foremost as I really dont want people thinking that’s cool and trying to own one,” she went on.
