The 2024 International Falcon Breeders Auction hosted by the Saudi Falcons Club is underway in Riyadh until August 24. This prestigious event showcases 35 breeding farms from over 16 countries, attracting a wide range of international falconry enthusiasts.

Key participants include the UK’s Sky Raiders Breeding Farm, managed by Pete and Dan, and Canada’s renowned Falcon Farms 2020, operated by John Lejeune alongside his siblings Monica and Otto. The auction has made headlines with its staggering sales figures, notably a falcon that fetched SAR 1.75 million in 2021, contributing to total earnings exceeding SAR 18 million since its inception.

A highlight of this year’s auction is the debut of Falcon Farms 2020, revered as the world’s oldest gyrfalcon breeding operation. Since its establishment in the 1970s, it has been a pioneer in falcon breeding, offering vast knowledge and historic depth to the auction. In contrast, Sky Raiders Breeding Farm embodies a modern and dynamic approach to falconry.

Under the leadership of Pete and Dan, the farm has introduced a selection of falcons known for their superior performance in both natural settings and competitive races. This collaboration with the Saudi Falcons Club marks a significant evolution for the UK breeders, initiating changes in their facilities to support innovative breeding.
