Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is making waves in the gym, but not for the reasons you might think.
Known for his active lifestyle and dedication to fitness, the controversial political figure, 70, was recently spotted working out at the exclusive Equinox Hudson Yards in an outfit that left gym-goers raising their eyebrows. According to Page Six , Kennedy was seen lifting weights and using the treadmill at the New York City gym, but what caught everyone's attention was his unusual choice of workout attire —"tight jeans and hiking boots." The outfit, which the source described as reminiscent of a "construction worker," turned heads, particularly among younger members who didn't recognize Kennedy.
"Some people didn't know who he was, and were like, 'Who's that older guy?'" the insider shared. Despite the curious stares, Kennedy remained focused on his workout, even continuing to run on the treadmill in his hiking boots. While Kennedy's fashion choices might be unorthodox , his dedication to staying fit is clear.
In a previous gym appearance in Venice, California, he was filmed shirtless, working out in jeans, belt, and the same hiking boots –– a look he jokingly referred to as "practicing for my confirmation hearing." The politician even shared the video on his own X account (formerly known as Twitter ), which of course got a lot of feedback from social media users, specifically regarding the outfit.
