Pune: Retired state agriculture officer Sunil Bhaskarrao Deshmukh (60) of Vimannagar died after a dumper truck hit his scooter on Karve Road around 10.45am on Monday. The Deccan Gymkhana police have detained the truck driver, a resident of Gokhalenagar, on charges of rash and negligent driving, and causing the victim’s death.
