The neighborhood surrounding the entrance to Pete’s Pier Marina announces a hearing on a request to amend the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) on a 0.57-acre parcel. A request for a zoning amendment change brought by Frye One Pete’s Pier LLC faced strong opposition from neighborhood residents during Thursday’s Crystal River Planning Commission meeting.

The commission reviewed Application No. PCA24-0005, which sought a “Small Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment to the Future Land Use Map (FLUM)” to change 0.57 acres from Medium Density Residential (MDR) to Waterfront Commercial (CW), or its functional equivalent, Urban Center (UC).
