Reser’s Fine Foods is recalling some of its meal kits because they include chicken that is part of an 11 million pound recall for Listeria contamination. The chicken was supplied by BrucePac. The Brucepak production facility has been found by the Food and Drug Administration to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes and chicken produced there is also contaminated.

Reser’s Fine Foods is no longer using any ingredients from the BrucePac facility, according to the company’s recall notice posted by the Food and Drug Administration. The Reser’s meal kits were distributed in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wyoming. Consumers who have purchased these kits should not consume any part of the kits; rather, they may return it to the store for a full refund or discard the item.
