A group of rescue dogs have taken part in a spooky photoshoot ahead of “Howl-oween”. Just like pumpkins, Dogs Trust Shoreham residents Belle, Harvey, Peppy, Sooty and Woody hope they too will soon be picked and taken to a new home. “Lovable” lady Belle is an eight-year-old French bulldog who enjoys spending time with people but can be timid at first and prefers to build up a bond at her own pace.

The foodie likes to bond through training or relaxing with someone on the sofa rather than getting lots of tactile fuss. Belle (Image: Dogs Trust Shoreham) She finds it challenging when people come too close when she is eating and the Dogs Trust team feel she would be best suited to a family where the youngest members are in their late teens and understand that she’ll need her space occasionally. Belle is sociable when it comes to mixing with other dogs and would enjoy walking with other calm-natured canines, although she will need to be the only pet at home.

Harvey will soon be on the Dogs Trust site (Image: Dogs Trust Shoreham) She will need a family who are always around at home to keep her company in the initial stages, before gradually building up the times they leave her. Sooty is a sweet chihuahua Pomeranian cross who is looking for a fresh start. He is a gentle soul who adores the company of his favourite people and is eager to build a bond with his new owners.

Sooty has been at Dogs Trust Shoreham since April 2023 since his owner died. He absolutely loves to travel.
