The rescheduled second edition of the Lagos International Film and Cinema Convention (LIFACC) held at the Ebony Life Place, Victoria Island, in Lagos, from August 14 and 15, 2024. LIFACC promoted as the finest gathering in Lagos Nigeria of cinema owners, top executives, film distributors, film producers, cinema set-up facilities/equipment manufacturers/suppliers, and all sundry businesses around the cinema business from around the world, was rescheduled due to the uncertainty around the national protest in Nigeria of August 1. This year’s LIFACC provided cinema owners with the chance to see the newest and most significant developments in concession and cinema equipment, catering to the cut-throat, high-stakes sector will hold for two days.

The event brought into Lagos a diverse set of cinema stakeholders, film distributors, producers, cinema equipment /facilities manufacturers/suppliers, and solution providers from across the world to exhibit products and offer deals. It also provided the opportunity for distribution executives and owners of cinemas to congregate, socialise, and network while conducting business. The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) held a roundtable on morality and ethics in film production with producers, distributors, exhibitors and film directors during the convention.

The roundtable attracted a quality crowd of filmmakers including, Mahmood Ali-Balogun, Francis Onwochei, Teco Benson, Joke Silva, Emeka Ossai. Special guest at the roundtable.
