Womankind Worldwide is a UK-based, feminist global women's rights organisation that works in solidarity with women's movements around the world to bring about lasting change in women's lives. Jan Spence, of the club said: "As a female section in the club, we feel so much for the women of the world who do not have access to the opportunities we get in our lives which includes the golf, padel, tennis facilities at our local club. Since we are so fortunate in so many ways, we felt it was a good time to try to make a difference to those that don’t have access to the basics, never mind the luxuries.

" The tennis players Club member Rosie Connell has been a supporter of Womankind Worldwide after a trip to Nepal where she witnessed the hardship of the local women and families there. So when a charity event was proposed, there was only one organisation in mind to support. Jan said: "The rest of the team were only too happy to get on board to ensure RGLTP club did the best they could to raise funds for this worthwhile charity and got to work.

" Events took place over a week starting on July 23 with a ladies golf day, organised by Liz Pennington (Lady Captain) and a tennis social event with quiz run by Lily Wong on the same evening. The festival of padel On July 24 a Padel event brought together by Rosie Connell (GB Seniors Padel) took place and a ladies Festival of Padel took place on July 26 with Nicky Horn (GB Seniors Padel) and support from the Rackets Department Secretary Sally Bi.
