Jaipur: The police and security agencies conducted a search at Sher Bagh, a prominent hotel and resort in Sawaimadhopur 's Ranthambore town, on Sunday after the hotel administration received a bomb threat via email. The Sher Bagh Hotel Group's Delhi office reportedly received the anonymous email, which threatened to bomb their hotels. Police and administration swung into action following the threat, with the district police launching a search operation at the hotel in Ranthambore, a popular destination frequented by tourists and high-profile guests.

According to Sawaimadhopur CO Hemendra Sharma, the email indicated that a terrorist group was behind the threat, although the identity of the sender remains unknown. “The anonymous email threatened to bomb Sher Bagh hotels, which prompted us to take immediate action. A search operation was conducted at the Ranthambore property, and we have not found any suspicious materials so far,” Sharma said.

As a precaution, security personnel have been deployed in and around the resort, and the police are keeping a close watch on suspicious individuals in the area. The heightened security presence is expected to continue until police rule out any potential danger. Sher Bagh Resort is well-known for hosting high-profile figures during visits to the Ranthambore National Park.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi frequently stays at the hotel during her trips to the region, and Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has also visited with his fa.
