Ranma 1⁄2 OTT Release Date: The Japanese Manga series will be arriving on the Streaming Platforms from 5th October on Netflix. The Manga series is illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. Plot The main character Ranma 1⁄2 has an ability in which he is able to transform his character and his often changes his sex and converts into a woman.
Apart from him, many other characters of the series have intricate relationships with one another. The main character Ranma is also an martial artist who has a curse to turn into a girl when someone splashes cold water at him and he turns back into a boy when someone splashes hot water at him. Ranma also has a love interest Akane Tendo who is a high school girl and she is engaged to Ranma.
However, Ranma tries to find a way to break his curse while his friends, enemies, and fiancées interfere. Although the characters and their relationships are complicated, they rarely change once they are firmly introduced and settled into the series. The Manga has been transformed into two anime series produced by studio deen.
The story of the show follows the life of Ranma, who is on a training journey in the Bayankala Mountain Range in China. Ranma and his father fell into the cursed springs at Jusenkyo. The cursed spring causes any afflicted to assume the physical form of whatever drowned there hundreds or thousands of years ago whenever they come into contact with cold water, which reverts on contact with hot water but resumes with exposure to cold water.
