JLR said it “currently has over 48,000 clients on the waiting list for Range Rover Electric.” The company added that it would be the first of its next-gen zero-emission luxury EVs under its umbrella of brands. The announcement came after JRL saw global sales rise 29% YOY in the first half of fiscal 2025. The company said the growth was due to higher demand for its plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), with global PHEV sales up 47% YOY. According to JLR, its customers are using PHEVs “as a stepping stone towards battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
