Riddhima Kapoor, the daughter of Bollywood couple Neetu and Rishi Kapoor, has found herself at the center of a social media storm. In a recent interview she revealed her desire to shield her daughter, Samara, from the potential toxicity of Instagram. However, her comment about trolls possibly being "house helps" has ignited a fierce backlash online.

The clip from the interview quickly went viral on Reddit, sparking heated discussions among users. Many were taken aback by Riddhima's seemingly dismissive attitude towards online harassment. Her remark was perceived as insensitive.

Riddhima had previously expressed her concerns about Samara's use of social media. In April, she explained that while her daughter was eager to join platforms like Instagram, she believed it was important to protect her from the negative aspects of online interactions. Riddhima advised Samara to ignore hurtful comments, emphasizing that anyone could be behind the keyboard, even someone as close as a household employee.

Riddhima had said, “She (Samara) wants to be on social media, I don’t want her to be on social media to be very honest. I want her off social media. But I told her that if you still want to continue with your account (seemingly Instagram account), don’t be affected and you can’t keep reading all your comments.

People will write all sorts of things. Anyone is sitting anywhere and writing these comments. May be it is the house help commenting, who knows?" One Redditor commented, .
