A complaint was lodged against filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma , also known as RGV, at the Maddipadu police station in Prakasam district on Monday. The complaint, filed by Ramalingam, a TDP mandal secretary, alleges that Varma shared defamatory material on social media that damaged the reputation of several TDP figures, including chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu , his son and IT minister Nara Lokesh, and Lokesh’s wife Brahmani while promoting his movie Vyooham . According to Maddipadu Sub-Inspector Shiva Ramaiah, a case has been registered under the Information Technology Act, covering online defamation and misuse of digital platforms for spreading false information, based on Ramalingam’s accusations.
