Shortly after the opening of Raffles Jaipur , the luxury hotel brand has just unveiled its first outpost in Japan . French hospitality firm Accor, Raffles’s parent company, announced major plans to debut a new property in Tokyo ’s Hamamatsuchō district. The forthcoming project, slated to open in 2028, is reportedly part of the redevelopment of the city’s World Trade Center.

Once completed, the property will be nestled within the top 46 floors of the landmark building and feature 130 guest rooms plus 27 swanky suites. “We are very pleased to welcome Accor Group, which operates a number of world-class hotel brands, as our partner, and to be working together toward the opening of the first Raffles hotel, one of Accor Group’s premier brands, in Japan,” said Hitoshi Nomura, president and CEO of real estate firm Tokyo Tatemono Co. “Together with Accor Group and the World Trade Center Building, we hope to create a new landmark in Tokyo and contribute to the creation of an even livelier international city and the enhancement of Tokyo’s international competitiveness.

” The new Raffles Tokyo will be close to all the major attractions in the city, including other notable landmarks such as Tokyo Tower, the Roppongi Museum, and Rainbow Bridge. The hotel is also near the bustling Hamamatsuchō station, making it ideal for business and leisure travelers alike. Designed by Australia-based Layan architects, the property will sport sprawling views of the city.
