The Gulf-Qatari Classic Car Association has announced the launch of the Qatar Classic Cars Contest and Exhibition 2024, under the patronage of Qatar Museums (QM) Chairperson HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, from November 27-December 2 at Medina Centrale - The Pearl Island. At a press conference Monday, the association leaders announced its strategic partnership with the United Development Company (UDC), the main developer of The Pearl and Giwan Islands, and under the main sponsorship of Qatar Tourism. Alfardan Classic Cars, DAAM and Katara Hospitality are among the other partners.
Engineer Abdul Latif bin Ali al-Yafei, member of the Board of Directors and secretary-general of the association said the Qatar Classic Cars Contest and Exhibition 2024 is held under the supervision of the International Federation of Classic Cars (FIVA). “For the first time, monetary prizes will be awarded to the winners in all categories of the competition this year,” he said. Abdullah bin Ali al-Khater, head of Partnerships and Sponsorship Affairs at QM, described the contest as a prominent annual event that attracts all car enthusiasts.
