Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, Executive Director of PVR INOX Ltd. told CNBC TV18, "We recorded 150 million footfalls last year, and with the addition of new screens and the growing acceptance of luxury cinema experiences, we’re confident of closing this year on a higher note.

Bijli said, “WhatsApp is the most popular communication platform in India, and MJ ensures that discovering and booking movies is easier than ever for our customers.” The chatbot allows users to access personalized movie recommendations, seamless ticket bookings, and F&B pre-orders in six languages, including Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

“With MJ, we’re leveraging WhatsApp’s familiarity to deliver a hassle-free, intuitive experience that simplifies cinema bookings for audiences,” Bijli added. Bijli expressed confidence in the company’s strong Q3 performance, citing a robust content pipeline with blockbusters like Singham Again and Mufasa. He noted that festive releases and holiday programming have brought audiences back to cinemas in large numbers, building on the momentum from Q2.
