A Colorado corrections officer from Pueblo West is facing rape charges in Utah after he allegedly sexually assaulted a teenage girl numerous times over a three-day period in 2023. Kevin Aaron Young, 29, was charged Sept. 5 with several felonies in Piute County’s Sixth Judicial District for offenses that allegedly took place in Circleville, Utah, between July 15 and July 18, 2023.

Young was arrested Sept. 6 at his home in Pueblo West, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office. He is currently in the Pueblo County jail awaiting extradition to Utah.

A Colorado Department of Corrections spokesperson confirmed Young's employment to the on Sept. 9 and said he was working in the Centennial Correctional Facility prior to being placed on administrative leave.
