Content creator and actress, Amarachi Amusi, aka Ashmusy, tells KEHINDE AJOSE about her career and other issues Having been a content creator, what motivated you to venture into business? Productivity runs deep in my family, as I grew up to find everyone around me involved in one cause or trade. I learnt some things from the people around me. I have also come to understand that activity does not always equal productivity.

I always put in the work. I was determined to succeed, to be different, and to take my family from where we were, living in a face-me-I-face-you (one-room apartment), to where we are right now, living in comfort and affluence; as well as being able to travel, see the world, and afford whatever we want. How did I do this? First, I pursued my education.

I am sure many people might not know this, but I am a graduate of Medical Anatomy. I graduated with good grades, but I had a burning desire for business and entertainment. So, I pursued certificate courses with institutions, private sessions with coaches, learnt from mentors, surrounded myself with the right people, and took risks.

There were times I took night buses to auditions, only to be cast for movie roles with little or no pay, just so I could put my best foot forward, and show the world my God-given talent. I actually began my journey as a skit maker and social media influencer in a bid to fulfill my desire. Today, by God’s grace, I am the President of the Commonwealth Women’s Network Nigeria.

I hav.
