LUCKNOW: Hundreds of reserved category candidates of the 69,000 assistant teacher recruitment case staged a protest at the basic education directorate, Nishatganj, demanding that the govt should follow Allahabad high court orders and announce the recruitment schedule of the SC candidates for assistant teacher posts at earliest. Aspiring teachers threatened to intensify protest if the govt failed to announce the dates of recruitment within a week. On Sunday, chief minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a high-level meeting with basic education officials and said that all Scheduled Caste candidates will be given the benefit of reservation as per the Constitution.
While reviewing the situation after the Allahabad high court’s order to redraw the merit list for the selection of 69,000 assistant teachers, the CM also said no injustice be done to anyone. “When Allahabad HC has already ordered a fresh selection list of 69,000 assistant teachers in UP, why is the govt taking so much time to announce the recruitment schedule?” said candidate Satya Kumar.
