A PRIVATE island that comes with its own pub and links to a Scots rock legend has been snapped up by a mystery buyer for £2.5million. Sanda Island lies at the end of the Mull of Kintyre and was put on the market earlier this year.

And the mystery new owner is getting plenty for their money as it comes with a fascinating history . The island was once owned by Cream singer and bassist Jack Bruce who held the keys in his 60s heyday. And it was immortalised in the 1977 Christmas hit by Sir Paul McCartney and Wings.

No details on the new owner have been released.

Sanda has seven residential properties with four based at the northern end of the island.
