In his eagerly anticipated new biography Catherine , The Princess of Wales, author Robert Jobson sheds some light on the Wales family's private life behind palace doors - including Prince William's row with the late Queen Elizabeth II. It's been reported the Queen and her 'stubborn' grandson were at odds over a defiant act concerning William's wife Kate, and their three young children Prince George , 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, six. The Royal family was reportedly left divided over this contentious issue and the late Queen, who rarely made her opinions known in public, 'did not hold back' when it came to telling William exactly what she thought.

In an extract of the upcoming book, which has been serialised in the Mail, royal correspondent Jobson detailed how Prince William entered into a heated disagreement with his grandmother after his father, the now King Charles III, raised concerns over a sensitive safeguarding issue. Jobson wrote: "One recent source of disagreement is William's stubborn refusal to take his father's advice on safeguarding the succession. Earlier this year, the King had raised concerns with his son about the wisdom of William using his helicopter to fly his entire family around the country.
