In 'A Voyage Around The Queen', author Craig Brown claims that a young Harry , aged 12 at the time, questioned whether his mother was truly dead after the service. Brown describes the end of the service, writing: "The 100-strong congregation ends the service with a rendition of 'God Save the Queen'.

After the service, Harry asks, 'Are you sure Mummy's really dead?'". The book hit the shelves just days before today's 27th anniversary (August 31) of Princess Diana 's tragic death in Paris. In anticipation of the anniversary, it was announced that Harry will host an event in New York City next month to honour his late mother.

However, despite the poignant anniversary, Prince William is not expected to join his brother for the event celebrating the Diana Award next month. The CEO of the Diana Award, Dr Tessy Ojo, announced Harry's hosting role on X, stating: "In our 25th year, The Diana Award is delighted to be leading an event with Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex in New York this Septe.
