When you have a new partner, one of the major milestones is introducing them to your friends for the first time. Royals are no different and soon after Meghan Markle was revealed to the world as Prince Harry ’s girlfriend she was invited along to one of his shooting weekends at Sandringham. A book all about the famous couple claims that this crucial moment did not go as well as it could have done.

In fact, royal expert and investigative writer Tom Bower claims in his book ‘Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors’ that Prince Harry ’s friends were left in shock about Meghan’s behaviour at the get together. Despite what the prince's friends thought back then, however, and the challenges the pair have had since with other members of the Royal Family - they do seem to be stronger than ever, gaining new fans as they toured Colombia. Mr Bower claims that Meghan, the now Duchess of Sussex, 43, challenged guests who made comments that didn’t marry up to her “wokery”.

But their scathing analysis of Harry’s new girl didn’t end there - and he said texts between the guests were fired between them as they left. He claimed one said "Harry must be f*****g nuts" and that another said "she's a total nightmare". Prince Harry and Meghan's representative has been approached for comment.

Earlier this week, in front of a cheering audience in Colombia, Harry, 39, turned to Meghan, and asked "can you help me translate?" with Meghan nodding and adding "of course". .
