The revolving door in the Sussexes household continues to spin as Prince Harry’s chief of staff left his position. Josh Kettler had only been on the job since May, but he was thrown into the deep end, starting the role a week before Harry and Meghan Markle travelled to Africa for their first official visit to Nigeria. The exec, who describes himself as an “experienced executive accelerator, organizer, and confidant” on his LinkedIn profile, was also with Harry when he travelled to London that same month to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
He also attended a special service at St. Paul’s Cathedral to pay tribute to the anniversary, with no member of the Royal Family in sight aside from Harry’s uncle, Earl Spencer. Kettler, who joined the couple on the three-day visit, was reportedly hired on a trial basis.
The departure came about following a mutual decision between Kettler and Harry, according to People magazine. The timing of Kettler’s departure couldn’t be worse, as Harry and Meghan are set to leave for Colombia on Thursday, where they are set to visit Bogota, Cartagena and Cali in what has been described as a “quasi-royal tour.” Kettler was previously chief of staff and head of strategic partnerships at the communication platform Cognixion.
He is the latest staffer to exit from the Sussex household, with the couple losing at least 18 people, including nine or more who have left since the family moved to California in 2020, according.
