Prince Harry has been pictured visiting a tattoo parlour in New York City during a trip to the Big Apple, sparking suggestions he got inked after his 40th birthday. The Duke of Sussex was in the city for a series of solo appearances at events linked with UN General Assembly High-Level Week. During his visit from his home in California, he was seen going to East Side Ink, a tattoo shop on the Lower East Side which is a favourite among A-listers, with several of his minders and a police officer.

The Duke spent about an hour in the tattoo shop, according to reports. The shop is a favourite of many A-list celebrities including Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner.

Shop owner Josh Lord told the New York Post: “I can’t confirm or deny anything. “We treat all our customers as if they were royal, because to us they are. We always honour their privacy.
