The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were guests at the 55th birthday celebrations of their close friend Tyler Perry, held at his £23million mansion in Montecito on Saturday evening.

The couple were seen leaving the party around 11pm, laughing and smiling in the backseat of a black Range Rover. Joining Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, at the glamorous event were a host of celebrities including chat show queen Oprah Winfrey , singer Alicia Keys and actor Aaron O'Connell. Paramount CEO Brian Robbins and his wife, Tracy, who live near the Sussexes, were also present, along with TV personality Gayle King.

A local worker, thought to have helped with the party decorations, told Mail Online that there was "a lot of music, dancing and singing". He added: "Lots of speeches and food too. Everyone was having a lot of fun.

It was a good party. There were a lot of famous people but I cannot say anymore." It was also reported that a "male person who sounded like Harry was heard making a speech".
