Coffee lovers have found a genius solution to please their caffeine addiction, following major changes to Pret A Manger's subscription service. The high-street chain announced last month its Club Pret benefits - which allowed customers to get five 'free' coffees a day for a £30 monthly fee - would be replaced by a 'new and simpler' offer. Starting from September, subscribers will get 50% off up to five barista-made drinks a day for a reduced monthly fee of £10 – and just £5 for existing and new subscribers until March 31, 2025.

The announcement sparked backlash online, with social media users blasting the new model for being 'poor value'. "Pret cancelling the Pret subscription is the least brat summer thing ever," one person moaned on X (formerly Twitter). However, TikTok star Owen Willis has revealed there's still a way to keep your 'free' coffees with a 'better' alternative.

"If you're anything like me, I only go into Pret to use my subscription," he said. "I literally see no no other reason why I go there because the coffee is actually not even that good - it was just good value for money." After Pret announced its shake-up, Owen has now decided to get a subscription from LEON, which costs £25 a month.

LEON's 'Roast Reward' scheme entitles customers to five barista-made drinks, along with a 20% discount on its breakfast and all-day food menu (excluding meal deals). You can only redeem one coffee per hour. Hundreds of viewers floked to the comments section to hail the.
